New to me at any rate...
Congratulations to 750 Sepia Saturdays! It's been such a fun place to read other's posts mostly on the meme suggested (except for me usually!)

Today's quote:
D.H. Lawrence said, "If there weren't so many lies in the world, I wouldn't write at all." And, "The human soul needs actual beauty more than bread."
You've chosen a thoughtful medley of different places. I think I might have enjoyed that Miami resort in 1925. But Paris in 1900 is really where I'd like to travel in my time machine! Maybe to join those musicians on bicycles! Thanks for your comment on my blog, Barb. It was Alan's note about "New Arrivals" that inspired it as all my photos were "New Arrivals" to my collection and adding a bit more context to my stories. Way back to olden S.S. days it was Alan's insatiable curiosity about history hidden in a photo that first set me off on collecting and sleuthing. But it's more fun sharing with friends who like solving family history puzzles and telling real folk stories.
ReplyDeleteI love the dragon!! :)
ReplyDeleteFor a minute I thought the house on the 'Paris 1900' card was situated in Bavaria or somewhere in Austria. But then I saw a piece of the Eifel Tower in the top right hand corner and I knew I was wrong. But what a beautiful collection!
ReplyDeleteA great & varied selection of photos to share this week. My favorite is the one of Paris in 1900 with that quaint fairy-tale like multiple storied bldg.
ReplyDeleteA fascinating selection of vintage photographs from across the world , reminding us what places were like in times past. I look forward to seeing more of your Sepia Saturday posts - onwards to the 751st prompt!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fascinating collection of old photos! It’s incredible how images from the past can transport us to different times and places, from the vibrant streets of Miami in the '60s to the quiet moments of a family in West Virginia in 1900. The Casa Bruno Cuadros in Barcelona is especially striking—such a beautiful blend of history and design. Thanks for sharing these timeless glimpses!
