My own life and my opinions are shared at When I was 69.

REMEMBER: In North America, the month of September 1752 was exceptionally short, skipping 11 days, when the Gregorian Calendar was adapted from the old Julian one, which didn't have leap year days.

John Wilcoxson 9 times great grandfather

Birth 19 MARCH 1633 St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England
Death 19 MAR 1690 Stratford, Fairfield, CT

I found this information as to where he was born in a genealogy for the Meigs family, which included some Wilcox and Wilcoxsons. It is listed as North America Family Histories, 1500-2000 (below)

The first record that I have is the list of Wilcoxsons marriages in Connecticut records, where John married March 19, 1663 to Elizabeth Bourne Welles.  Notice that somehow that's also his birthdate,
in 1633.

Elizabeth had married first to John Welles, son of the governor of Connecticut, Thomas Welles. Their son was John Welles (1648-1713), according to Colonial Families of the United States of America Vol II, pg 344

Another source gives the history of John Wilcoxson and his father William.  I hadn't seen anything about his earlier marriage to Johannah Titterton, daughter of Daniel.  This genealogy gives her 2 sons names. Then the marriage to Elizabeth on March 9, 1662.  I'm including the first page out of 10 which were available attached to Elizabeth (rather than John...sometimes I get so frustrated that source materials are hiding under the wrong people's information!)  I don't know the author of this source, nor how accurate it is. But he does give some of his source materials.

This says that widow Elizabeth Wells had 6 children before she married John Wilcoxson, and then had another 6 with John.  (My ancestry tree shows 7 while she was married to John Wells.

But as you may notice, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Wilcoxson, Hannah born 2/14/1665 married  Joseph Booth.  Their 7th child was Zachariah Booth.
